Potion
2-3 stalks are placed in 300ml water just before it begins to boil. Let it boil on low heat for about 3-5 minutes. Move away the covered utensil from the stove and let it steam for about 10 minutes. It is important to drain the potion before consumption – within the same day. Preparing potion, you may extract around 60-70% of the beneficial content in the stalks. The taste is relatively denser, and if your taste receptors are more sensitive, you may feel light bitterness, which is not a reason for concern.

Tea
2-3 stalks, with or without other herbs, are steamed in 300ml of hot water. To avoid “burning” the tea, place the boiled water aside for 1 minute before adding the herbs. Let it steam for 8-12 minutes. When we make our daily tea, we follow the instructions for the water to be around 96˚ C, or we avoid over boiling it. The moment when water has reached this temperature is exactly before the formation of big bubbles. If you observe the process of boiling, you will note that the water changes its density. This is the appropriate time to add the herbs. Following these instructions, you may extract around 40-50% of the beneficial content in the stalks. The taste is soft, intense and pleasant.

Sweetening
Use a natural sweetener of your own choice. It is a well-known fact that adding honey in too hot tea diminishes the beneficial properties of the honey. The recommended temperature of the beverage for sweetening with bee honey is below 60˚ C. You will feel how the tea or potion taste changes depending on the type of honey you use. In addition, we would like to share that the tea has a wonderful taste even with no sweetener.
Shakes and smoothies
If you love smoothies or shakes, you may add a few stalks of mursalksi tea to the other ingredients. Please, be aware that you should blend the beverage a bit longer, because of the hard and firm stalks. Using the herb this way, you may extract more of its curative content.
